I am doing a AS level compare and contrast essay in art based on my theme which is "natural form" and I need one traditional artist and one contemporary. For the traditional artist I thought perhaps John Constable? Because I think he did mainly landscapes which is basically natural form but not too sure which artist to use for contemporary. Any ideas would be most appreciated Thanks

No way was Georgia O’Keefe a traditional artist. Her large sectional flower paintings turned traditional flower painting on it’s head. Very contemporary

Someone told me that I can advertise a flat fee for a piece of commissioned art work/ photograph on Craigslist and I will find someone willing to do it. How do I do this? Or is there a better place to find artists willing to do work. Some I’ve found charge hundreds of dollars for a picture and that’s beyond my budget.

It’s in the community section of craigslist under artists.

I am doing about plants relating to personal identity for my art journal. I am going to go into London today to look at some work. An artist in one of the museums would be much preferred.
Salvador Dali- surrealist really abstract.
Rob Foote- uses fruit and plants.

I am wanting to know how artists such as Michelangelo & Raphael and Monet & van Gogh are alike and different?

They are different in the way the see the subject of their paintings and in the way they paint.

Renaissance artists were more likely emphasized on realism with true perspective so that they did take time to make out, while Impressionists like to bring about the subject within the image in their mind and hence can work quite fast in their painting whether or not it is in true perspective.

There are still some other aspects but I believe it’s too lengthy to write here. Good question and God bless you!

What medium or media did the artist use to create the work of art? What specific materials? Describe how the artist used the media and techniques and what the effect is of his use of the media and techniques. Does the artist appear skillful in his use of media and techniques?

Baldung used paintings for his art. He used wood work to do his work. He was so skilled and was thought to be the best student of Albrecht Dürer.

They are the wedge pieces for tightening the canvas even more.
This should be done before any paint or gesso are applied to the canvas.
Good Luck.

Worth asking. Also, have a look at the Wikipedia entry on him.
