My girlfriend and I are going to the Place to Tertre in Montmartre to have our portrait made by one of the street artists who set up their easels there. What is a reasonable amount to pay for a quick pencil sketch? Or a charcoal drawing? Or a full on painting?

it depends on who you tlak to and the material use,usually they range from 15 t0 40 Euros

It will be in black and gray, but more importantly I need this tattoo to be perfect and as realistic as possible and I am willing to pay whatever is necessary.

If you go to the Tattoo place near 14th and U street NW (on U St between 14th and 13th) and ask if Alex is around he does AWESOME WORK! He did a tattoo for my boyfriend of the twin towers and it was amazing. He works in black the best. If you see the tats on his arms (VERY cool) those were done by his mentor who taught him so he’s learned that from him. He may not be there anymore, because I heard he may be moving, but go try it out!

Just curious.
Doesn’t have to be a specific portrait artist, just someone who has branched out into that area.
Also, doesn’t have to be realistic portraits, (I class the likes of Audrey Kawasaki works as portraiture too)

Chuck Close did huge tremendously detailed portraits where you could see every pour and hair fuzz on the face. Then he had a stroke and lost the use of his hands and arms. The work he does now is fascinating and unlike any other artist. He grids the painting off and then paints brightly colored concentric circles in each square. When you are right on top of the painting you see a brightly colored abstract design. As you back away an extremely life like and accurate representation of the subject comes into view. Just last month the Art Museum in my city just had show of his portraits . Truly breathtaking , beautiful on so many levels, and tremendously inspiring.

As somebody mentioned before, you could try www.absolutearts.com.

You could also try www.deviantart.com, I don’t know if you can sell your portraits directly to somebody, but it is an excellent place to get feedback on your work and give your opinion on other people’s. You’ve got nothing to lose.

If you are willing to spend the time, you could try ebay. I just wouldn’t recommend it though because you’re not going to find a big market for the items that you want to sell.

Hey guys! I’m so happy to finally have this done! I have been working on this for about 3 weeks off and on. I probably have about 20 hours into it. I really happy with it. I drew another Hannah because I was unhappy how the old one turned out a couple years ago. Thanks and tell me whatcha think.

for a person that you seen in a a crime…Researchers say no…. I tryed it I looked completely different that I thought I looked…They say you can Picture a person that you see better…. than you can yourself..I am looking for the website that you see on tv that shows mouths, teeth, noses Etc. JUST for fun…By the way women can identifey themselves (3) time eaiser than men..Is this true.
