A Portrait of the artist as a young man? Places stephen goes?

Posted by admin on December 25th, 2011 and filed under portrait artist | 1 Comment »

I am looking for a list of places that Stephen travels to in James Joyce’s A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. I know he’s in Dublin in some places, then they more to Blackrock, then he and his father go to Cork to sell some property, and he goes to the schools Clongowoes and Belvedere, but are there any that I am missing? Where does he go after he decides to move away to be an artist? Thanks!

How can I make money as a portrait artist?

Posted by admin on November 28th, 2011 and filed under portrait artist | 1 Comment »

I’m trying to save up some extra money. How can I make money online drawing portraits? Where should I advertise my services and how much should I charge?

Post video’s of you drawing portraits of famous people on youtube. Have your own site to be contacted through and how much you should charge? Depends on how good you are, color or Black & White, size etc. Including shipping and handling you should charge from a low of $15 up to $50. Be sure to have plenty of examples so people can see what to expect.

I need a good portrait tattoo artist. Does anyone know of one in the DFW Texas metroplex?

If you have one and it’s not in Texas show me anyways. I don’t mind having to travel. I want a portrait of my father and I don’t want crap. I’m willing to pay and travel. Thanks if you can help any. I’m looking as well, so don’t comment telling me just to look because I am.

my back was done by a guy named jose ramos.his shop is called skindalous ink.i dont know exactly where its at though. My back is the only tat i got by him.My other tats are by this guy named george at Dallas Ink.I really recommend this guy.One reason is my back tat is real real light.I guess the skindalous guy didnt use a lot of ink on me.My other two,by dallas ink ,are darker and to me look better so id go with the dallas ink guy cuz of the ink thing plus he’s just a good tat guy plus he’s reasonably priced most of the time.theres two other places i checked out on their website and i would also recommend these. One is DivineTattoos.com and PsychoClownTattoos.Just check out their stuff.they’re pretty good.Thats all i know but just look and youll find what yur lookin for.

P.S I could like to pefer TFP model or student because I’m not so rich : O…

Advertise for a model on Craigslist. I’d go for the makeup artist too-there may be some out there who will work TFP there too to get shots for their own portfolios!

how to make a living as a portrait artist?

Posted by admin on August 30th, 2011 and filed under portrait artist | 1 Comment »

I love sketching portraits, it is my passion. I sketch at least one portrait of a famous celebrity everyday just for the sheer joy of it , i really enjoy doing it. People always tell me how great I am and sometimes give me a few bucks to do one for them. I have studied art for 2 years at art school. I would like to do this as a proffession. So i guess what im asking is could i make a living from this? And how do i go about it

You can try. I’m not really sure. I think how much you make depends on the materials you use (if they’re expensive or not). You can start at a kiosk at a mall or something. Have some of your work on display and maybe you’ll attract customers. Good luck!

I am looking to get a pet portrait drawn of my dog, and am looking for an artist who is good but also affordable.

I’m a pet portrait artist, and my rates start at $175. I can work from your photos, and I ship anywhere.

You can reach me at celeste@charcoalpetportraits.com for more information.

Best portrait tattoo artist in the northeastern United States?

Looking to get a memorial tattoo of my mom. Any suggestions with a portfolio of their work?
I was actually looking at Tom Renshaw and after looking up Bob Tyrrell I see that Renshaw mentored him, which is pretty neat. And his gallery is awesome! Thank you for the suggestion!

I don’t have the answer, but that’s one of the wisest questions I’ve ever seen on here. I’ve I were going to live with a tattoo for the rest of my life, I’d take the trouble to travel to the best artist.

how to locate a portrait without an artist name?

I found a beautiful portrait of a girl at a garage sale. the portrait doesn’t have an artist’s name on it and google searching isn’t helping either. I would love to find out more about it, is there a website i could use to find more about this print?

http://tineye.com/login – check this site, it helps you find original images and can even find pics which have been partially altered. FireFox users may install the "tineye"-plugin.

Where can a portrait artist get sources?

Posted by admin on November 12th, 2010 and filed under portrait artist | 1 Comment »

Im 19 and Ive been using images from the internet to draw. Celebrities mainly, to progress my skills. But now I want to start producing art that is mine but not sure where to get reliable sources and Im not interested in the idea of family and friends to draw from.

Use your imagination. But I believe every artist uses reference picture anyway to draw good portraits
