Artists

Can someone tell me the differences in those fields as in what their job responsibilities are, skill requirements, salary, etc? Thank you very much! I am incredibly interested in Landscape Architecture, however, there are limited colleges near me (I already have to drive 2 hours to Tampa for LA college). Also, I am currently a concept artist/illustrator and skilled with Photoshop, so maybe landscape designer is best for me?

Landscape Architects design the landscape which is the outside for example around the house, flowers, driveway design ponds, etc. They must be skilled in visual arts and computer applications if neccessary. They make at least $75,00-$100,000 a year depending on skill level and reputation. Contractors get the workers for the jobs and oversee the project. Designers design the inside from rooms to kitchen accessories.

A new time lapse painting of an Oak tree, storm clouds and a deep red sky. This was completed with acrylics, and measures 24 X 36. I have better lighting with this video, and plan to expand on the type of videos I do in the future. I will begin doing a instructional video every Monday, starting soon. Thanks for watching. I’m doing an art project on the Seaside and I already know a few artist to include- like Claude Monet and William Turner, but the other landscape artists I know don’t really fit in with the topic (Salvador Dali, Vincent Van Gogh, etc.). Any suggestions!? Thanks! =)

A well known french painter (mid 19th c.) Eugene Boudin did miniature paintings of the seaside: On beach at Trouville http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eug%C3%A8ne_Boudin
Van Gogh did paint the seaside very early in his career – He was at that time copying the grand Dutch landscape masters of the past and their pale monochrome palettes,. He had yet to go to Paris and discover color.See View of the Sea at Scheveningen, 1882

i’ve only find 1 artist named fellows (fred) born in 1934. his painting goes up to 10 000$ US in auction.

The oil landscape painting is dated 1925 by German artist C. Kolofrat, which I believe is Christian Kolofrat. I am unable to find any further information on this artist via Google.

Contact Sotherby’s, the auction firm. They can give you information right up front. If it a painting of great value, they will want to put it up for auction for you. Hope that can help.
