Help me out here art student. Trying to remember name of a female contemporary artist who does still life pics with finger painty backgrounds. Fruit is often wrong colour( blue strawberries) and flowers made of geometric shapes. Sort of Elmer the Elephant’s jungle in style.
Have been on google images for days.

By the way: surrealism was an art movement that started in the 1920s and lasted till mid 20th century. Impresionism was a 19th century art movement.

I’m writing a paper involving artists who have commented on human violence in some way through their art. I’ve already written about Andy Warhol and his Gun series, and Roy Lichtenstein and his works Whaam, Blaam, and Takka Takka.
