He knows what … He knows what perspective is, because he read Leonardo’s book on perspective. Leonardo did an excellent job of explaining vanishing points, and lines of lights and shadows, etc. Then someone explained how to draw them on paper. He had a coach. But once he developed his technique and understanding of perspective, he just perfected it. Not to take away from his talent, but it is no conundrum.
I am sure he was … I am sure he was able to see when he was younger, it’s just impossible for him to draw to this level of detail! How could he possibly know the shape of a sail boat in one of his drawings? Just hard to believe. But it would be indeed impressive if true.
What you guys are … What you guys are failing to understand is that unlike some blind people, this man has never seen anything. He was born blind. Even if you where to explain colors, shapes, etc. to him he should not understand. He should not understand the concepts behind visual interpretation. This is the reason the people studying are so baffled.
